Community Partner Training

About the Course

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the University of North Carolina at Asheville has approved the DHHS Office of Human Research Protections (OHRP) training program for use by community research partners and will accept the program’s completion certificates in lieu of a CITI training completion certificate for non-University affiliated community research partners. This self-paced program consists of five modules, which must be completed before engaging in human subjects research. The estimated time to complete the entire program is approximately 5 hours. A printable completion certificate is available at the conclusion of each lesson. Note that OHRP does not collect information about who accesses or completes this training series.

After completing the training, provide the five lesson certificates to the University researcher for inclusion in the protocol record.
